Many map services have ditched their ftp capability and gone solely to online mappers with extraction. As elegant of a solution as this might seem, I do not like it. As someone who warehouses data, rather than a nice, neat update of some reproducable geography (a county, a quad sheet, a PIN grid), I now have this dynamic extent I am supposed to reproduce, often with needless overlap.
The services aren't all bad...but to not have an option to go to a more traditional download format is NOT customer friendly. KNOCK IT OFF!
