So I was able to get digital map data for the western half of the region, and added most of the major planned greenways. Again, not every neighborhood greenway makes it into the map or it gets too busy. I added some smaller greenways in west Cary if they included a grade separation under I-540.
Why go through this exercise? Deciding on what greenway segments make up a "line" changes when you look at what the built-out system looks like. I did my best to pick routes that were logical. I did not have a plan for RTP, and had to make some assumptions based on what Durham's plan had and what is on the ground today. The park is full of sidepaths, because the corporate campuses don't want folks on the property, so trails don't just follow the creeks like they would in the rest of the region.
